Sunday 14/6/09 started as a beautiful day. At 11.00am after a precisely the Loughboro' Race for Life began with the count down from 10 to 0 and they're off.
Many charities were represented in this race but Sarah Morris and team were set on completing the 5 kilometre run in the name of Oliver Mellors for cancer research. B Cell Lymphoma Cancer unfortunately took Oliver's life after a very hard fight in April this year.
So far donations on Oliver's own charity sites are close to £10,000.
The first attached photo are the members Sarah's team from left to right.
Laura, Abi, Julia (Oli's mum, who was a last minute replacement for Jenna who pulled a ligament last week),Sarah Morris, Jo, Ang, Byrony, Emily and finally Lizzie Morris Sarah's daughter and friend of Oliver.
The second one is just before the off and the third is William Morris Oliver's best friend.
The team finished in a respectable 38 minutes and carried on to enjoy a beautiful Sunday's entertainment.
We would all like to thank Sarah for organising the team and of course all members of the team that represented Oliver.
